About us
A family-rooted, musician-first recording studio built for the Australian independent music scene.
Who we
are
The Oz Soundz Group of businesses are sub-entities of Vestinex Pty Ltd (ABN 45 147 744 858), a wholly owned Australian private company that has been operating since 2010.
Founded by Jason “Plummo” Plumridge along with his family, The Oz Soundz Group serves the independent music industry through each of its business arms — working independently but in combination to support the music, audio, recording and performance industry in Australia and beyond.
Whilst new in the market, The Oz Soundz Group has connection to the music & audio industry at the “grass roots local level” for more than four decades.
— Jason “Plummo” Plumridge, Founder
Our founder studied music at the Newcastle Conservatorium. His wife is a lover of all music styles. His eldest son is an accomplished keyboardist in the Sydney scene whose band launched an EP in 2024. His daughter is an accomplished singer, and his youngest son a trombonist and drummer. “Music is the lifeblood of our family.”
Starting local.
Thinking global.
Hunter Region
Our heartland — where we began and where our deepest music community roots live.
Central Coast
Our planned studio home — accessible, creative, and perfectly positioned between Sydney and Newcastle.
Sydney & Wollongong
Expanding our footprint into the biggest markets on the NSW east coast.
Beyond Australia
The ultimate ambition — a globally recognised Australian music brand.
Not another
studio for hire
Musicians first
Every decision — from room design to pricing — is made by people who’ve been on the other side of the glass.
Full transparency
We publish our planning, design and build process as it happens. You’ll see exactly what goes into the rooms you record in.
Community support
Part of a group that puts money back into the scene — through sponsorships, funding programs and support for grassroots artists.
